The Viking Maritime Group are proud to be supporting women in the Maritime Industry. Whether that be through working in crucial roles at sea or ashore, we hope to break down the gender barriers that can sometimes be seen in the industry.
There are now a number of industry task forces that have been put together to increase the number of women in the maritime sector and address gender fairness and equality in the industry.
International Maritime Organisation
IMO supports gender equality and the empowerment of women through gender specific fellowships; by facilitating access to high- level technical training for women in the maritime sector in developing countries; by creating the environment in which women are identified and selected for career development opportunities in maritime administrations, ports and maritime training institutes; and by facilitating the establishment of professional women in maritime associations, particularly in developing countries.

Combining the resources and network of the shore side industry, with the wealth of experience, knowledge and journeys of the women working at sea, we are realising the vision of a high performing, competency focused yachting industry, regardless of any other factors.
