We met Elisa in August whilst she was doing the GUEST accredited Stewardess Training Course here at the Maritime Skills Academy (part of the Viking Maritime Group).

Elisa came across as a mature, eager, and well-spoken student and after chatting to her it showed that she had already done loads of research on social media on how the yachting industry worked and what to expect.

Elisa possessed some good transferable skills for the industry as she had worked as a Nanny and had extensive experience as a Housekeeper for a holiday cottage cleaning company.

After completion of the MSA course, Viking Crew (part of the Viking Maritime Group) assisted Elisa with the last tweaks to her CV.

When one of our managed clients was looking for a Laundry Stewardess, Elisa called the office to show her interest and reminded us of her skillset. She was presented to the client and after a series of interviews, Elisa was offered the position as Junior Stewardess on one of the yachts in the fleet.

Elisa joined the yacht in October 2020 and after a short shipyard period, she is now underway to sunnier destinations.

We wish Elisa all the best at the start of her new adventure!
