Ideal for anyone who cares for children in a professional and non-professional capacity, you will gain the necessary skills to administer safe and effective treatment for a range of paediatric first aid situations.
Description
A blended learning course combining remote e-learning and traditional face-to-face training & assessment.
Over a 2 day period, learners will develop the skills and knowledge needed to deal with a range of paediatric first aid situations, including: assessing an emergency situation, dealing with an unresponsive infant or child, CPR, choking, meningitis, head and spinal injuries, anaphylaxis, asthma and more
Please note that the 6hrs E-learning will need to be completed prior to the 1-day face-to-face training and assessment.
This course can be taught at the Maritime Skills Academy in Dover, Portsmouth, or for group bookings at a location of your choice in Kent.
Certification
Successful learners will receive a personalised Qualsafe Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid (RQF) e-Certificate immediately after their results have been submitted.

Prerequisites
- Be at least 14 years of age.

Due to the physical nature of this course, learners should wear appropriate clothing an footwear, i.e. trousers and flat footwear.

This course does require physical work that is carried out on the floor so anyone with injuries that prevent them from doing so will be unable to complete the course and will have to re-book once they are fit and well.
